Welcome to MDPOregon

First off, thank you so much for your interest in our program and what we have to offer. To introduce ourselves, our names are Crystal, Dr. Lee, and Marie. Collectively, we bring over 70+ years of dental experience! Knowledge that we wish to pass on to the next generation of dental professionals.


Why We Started Our Business

We started our business as a way to offer various classes for people who want to make a great career in dental assisting! Being in the field for as long as we have, we have seen just how much the field has grown, and how much more it will continue to grow! We only anticipate more specialties to arise in dental assisting, as assistants are able to do more procedures!


Why Join Our Program

The main reason to consider our program, as opposed to other programs, would be that we are student first, we will be your advocates, and we want you to land your first job in dental assisting! We are committed to help acheive that goal, while teaching you what we have learned along the way!

Our Program

  • Our 4-month accelerated program is designed to train you in launching your career as a dental assistant!
  • With a hybrid study format, you are able to complete your coursework online with a schedule that works for you and one in-person class per week.
  • Following completion of the program, students will need to complete an externship prior to taking the State Board Exam.
  • All of our instructors are highly experienced and board certified. You will get real clinical experience with real patients.
  • All from our dental office in Springfield, OR! You won't have to drive to another location, like many other programs.

Our Highly Experienced Instructors

The instructors at McKenzie Dental Practices of Oregon are highly experienced, educated, and board certified. They are dedicated to working with each student to ensure quality education and clincal work.

James Lee, DDS

Founder

Dr. Lee grew up in Calgary, Alberta, and graduated from Loma Linda University in 1992 with the highest clinical award. In 1996, he and his wife Elaine moved to Oregon where they have been raising their three kids. When Dr. Lee isn’t working, you can find him spending time with his family, enjoying the outdoors, playing golf, cycling, fishing, and doing mission work. He has served as a Dental Director for a mission clinic in Moscow, Russia.

Crystal, EFDA-RF

Lead Clinical Instructor

Crystal is a graduate of BMCC in Pendleton, Oregon, and brings 20 years of experience in dental assisting, including 11 years as a restorative assistant. In this role, she is trained to perform specific tasks related to filling and restoring teeth. Crystal currently serves as clinical instructor, guiding dental assisting students through hands-on training in restorative procedures and clinical techniques.

Marie, EFDA, AnA-IV

Lead Didactic Instructor

Marie is a graduate of Concorde Career College and brings 16 years of dental experience to the field. Throughout her career, she has earned multiple certifications, including Anesthesia and IV Therapy. With her extensive background, Marie now oversees the didactic curriculum of the dental assisting program, providing students with a strong foundation in classroom instruction and theoretical knowledge.

Mission Statement

The mission of McKenzie Dental Practices of Oregon is to expertly train future dental assistants for a long fruitful career. The educators are dedicated to helping each student be the best that they can be, thus being able to make a real difference in peoples lives. The educators are also dedicated in community service, and wish to pass this legacy to each student that comes our way.
