Eligibility: Must be an Oregon Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and currently employed in a dental office.
This Oregon Board of Dentistry approved 6-hour course includes both lecture and clinical instruction. Participants will learn proper techniques for subgingival retraction cord placement using typodonts, followed by an instructor evaluation.
After completing the course, students must document cord placement on a minimum of ten (10) patients under the indirect supervision of a licensed dentist. Students will then receive the Oregon Credential Certificate in Subgingival Cord Placement.
This course is offered on an ongoing basis with Friday sessions available. Once the program fee is received, students will be contacted to schedule their specific date.
